Provider Perspective: Supporting Cellular Energy with Our New Mitochondrial Spray

Coach of the Month: Maggie Funkhouser

If you would have told me a couple years ago where I’d be today, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. Like so many people, my journey started with just wanting to feel better, have more energy, and show up for my family in a bigger way. I made the decision to really take control of my health, and along the way I’ve lost over 70 pounds. But honestly, what I’ve gained matters so much more. Confidence, strength, and the ability to actually be present in my everyday life.
A huge part of that journey has been finding the right support for my body. Two of my favorites have been Trizepitide for helping support my weight loss, and GLOW for healing and recovery. It’s not just about what you see on the outside. It’s about how you feel day to day, and having tools that support that has been a game changer for me.
My favorite thing about AR Health is hands down the support. Not just in wellness, but in every area of life. The staff, the community, the friendships. You’re surrounded by people who genuinely care and want to see you win. That kind of environment makes it easier to keep going, even on the hard days.
What started as something personal has turned into something I’m really passionate about sharing. I know what it feels like to be at the beginning, just hoping something finally works. Now I get to walk alongside other people as they start their own journey. For me, this is about more than health. It’s about freedom, confidence, and building a life you’re proud of.
Patient of the Month: Eric

From Stuck to Strong: Eric’s Journey Back to Strength at 45
As Eric approaches his 45th birthday this May, he’s proving that age doesn’t have to mean slowing down and that there’s more than one path to feeling strong, lean, and energized again.
Eric has always been an avid gym-goer. Training has been a consistent part of his life for years. But like many men in their 40s, he started noticing something frustrating: Despite working hard in the gym, the results just weren’t coming like they used to.
The weight was harder to lose.
Muscle was harder to maintain.
Energy wasn’t what it once was.
Sound familiar?
This is a story we hear from so many men today.
The Common Misconception: "I Just Need Testosterone"
When men hit their 40s, the first thing many assume is that testosterone is the only solution. While testosterone therapy can be helpful for some individuals, it’s not always the right starting point and for many men, it’s not addressing the full picture.
What often gets overlooked is how metabolism, growth hormone, recovery, sleep, and body composition all shift with age.
That’s exactly where Eric’s journey took a different turn.
Step One: Retatrutide — A Game-Changer
Eric started with Retatrutide, focusing first on improving body composition and metabolic health.
The results came steadily:
Reduced stubborn body fat
Improved energy levels
Better recovery
Leaner physique
This created the foundation he needed and the momentum to keep going.
Step Two: Tesamorelin + Ipamorelin
About two months ago, Eric added Tesamorelin and Ipamorelin to his routine and that’s when things really started to shift.
Since starting this combination, he’s noticed:
Increased strength across lifts
Improved muscle definition
Faster recovery between workouts
Better sleep
More energy throughout the day
Reduced stubborn belly fat
But perhaps the biggest change?
He says he feels like he’s in his 20s again.
Real Strength at 45
Eric isn’t just maintaining he’s improving.
He’s seeing numbers go up on his lifts.
He’s feeling stronger week after week.
He’s gaining muscle while continuing to lean out.
And most importantly, he’s doing it in a sustainable, intentional way.
A New Perspective for Men Over 40
Eric’s journey is a powerful reminder that:
You don’t have to accept losing muscle as you age
You don’t have to default straight to testosterone
There are smarter, more targeted approaches available
At 45, Eric isn’t slowing down, he’s getting stronger.
And his story is inspiring more men to rethink what’s possible as they age.
Because getting older doesn’t mean getting weaker.
Sometimes, it just means finding a better strategy.
